1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using VolCal, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. VolCal is operated by VolCal LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company.

2. Planning estimates only

VolCal is an informational planning tool. VolCal LLC is not a household-goods mover, carrier, broker, insurer, appraiser, attorney, or professional surveyor. Results are not a binding quote, bill of lading, certified inventory, certified weight ticket, appraisal, or guarantee of price, capacity, or service.

3. Volumes, weights, and assumptions

Catalog cubic-foot values are generalized estimates. Actual volume depends on item dimensions, shape, disassembly, packing materials, cartons, loading method, and the mover’s practices. Estimated weight is calculated by multiplying cubic feet by the pounds-per-cubic-foot ratio you select; it is not measured on a scale. Verify material decisions with your mover and obtain appropriate written estimates and documents.

4. Accounts and saved surveys

An account is optional. Guest surveys may be stored locally in the browser and can remain available after a refresh or closed session, but they are limited to that browser and device and may be removed when browser or site data is cleared or when private browsing ends. If you sign in with ChatGPT, you are responsible for maintaining access to that account and for activity performed through it. Saved surveys may be changed, deleted, or unavailable due to service changes or technical issues, so export or print any record you need to retain.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use VolCal for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity.
• Attempt to bypass security, access another user’s data, or disrupt the service.
• Upload malware, scrape the service at unreasonable volume, or reverse engineer protected portions except where law expressly permits.
• Misrepresent a VolCal result as a certified measurement or binding professional estimate.

6. External services

VolCal may link to ChatGPT, MorCal, or other third-party services. MorCal is a separate service operated by Key Bases LLC. Third-party services have their own terms, policies, and practices; VolCal LLC does not control or endorse all third-party content and is not responsible for their availability or conduct.

7. Ownership

VolCal, its design, software, branding, catalog arrangement, and service content are owned by VolCal LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for lawful personal or business planning; they do not transfer ownership.

8. Availability and changes

VolCal may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability, and we may restrict access when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VolCal is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of these terms may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VolCal LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, business, or moving costs arising from use of or inability to use VolCal. Rights that cannot lawfully be limited remain unaffected.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Any dispute not subject to another mandatory forum will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in New Jersey.

12. Changes and contact
